AI Employees

The DigiAI product: permanent digital hires with a voice, judgement and hands on the work — not a chat window bolted onto a website.

What is an AI employee?

An AI Employee is a permanent digital hire with a defined role inside your business. It has a voice that matches your company, access to the systems the job needs, judgement about what to escalate, and hands on the actual work. It runs its role end to end — intake, qualification, follow-up, reporting — rather than waiting to be prompted.

The framing is deliberate. You do not evaluate a hire by its features; you evaluate it by the job it holds, the standard it works to, and what it costs against what it returns. AI Employees are assessed the same way.

Three parts define one: VOICE — how it communicates, in your tone and within your rules. MIND — the business context and data it reasons over. HANDS — the systems it is permitted to act in.

AI Employee vs AI agent — what do businesses actually need?

An agent is a capability; an AI Employee is that capability given a job, a standard and a reporting line. Most businesses do not need more capability — they need someone accountable for the enquiry that arrived at 9pm. Buy the role, not the technology: define the job first, then let the agent architecture follow from it.

Practically, this changes the first conversation. Instead of 'which model', the question becomes 'what does week one of this hire look like, and what will it have moved by week six'.

Do AI Employees replace staff?

No. They remove the rules-based work your people should never have been doing — chasing, copying, re-typing, reconciling — so human hours move to judgement, relationships and closing. In practice most clients grow output without growing headcount, rather than cutting the team they already have. The saving shows up as avoided hiring, not redundancies.

Where roles do change, they tend to move up: the person who chased intake forms becomes the person who handles the exceptions the system escalates, which is both harder and better paid.

Which AI Employee should we install first?

Install where delay costs the most money. For most high-ticket businesses that is lead response — the gap between an enquiry arriving and a qualified human reply. After that: intake and qualification, proposal preparation, follow-up, reporting and service triage. One role installed properly beats six installed half-way, because only the first proves the return.

The audit ranks these against your own numbers rather than a generic list, because the biggest leak differs between a medical practice and a consultancy.

How long does it take to deploy an AI Employee?

A single well-scoped role is typically live in two to six weeks: about a week to map the process and access, two to three weeks to build and test against real historical cases, then a supervised period where a person reviews every decision before the confidence threshold is raised. Larger multi-agent systems run six to ten weeks.

The variable is rarely the build. It is access to systems and to the historical examples that define what 'correct' looks like — gather those early and the timeline compresses.
